This class is a great place to start your exploration of the time-honoured tradition of sock knitting. Techniques include working in the round on one long circular needle, short rows for shaping the heel, picking up stitches, shaping with decreases, grafting a seam, as well as pattern interpretation and fixing of common mistakes.

Already familiar with:
• Cast-on and cast-off
• Knit and purl stitches
• At least one type of increase and decrease
• Pattern reading
• One 4.5mm (4.0mm if a loose knitter), 80-100cm circular with a flexible cable
• 200g of worsted weight yarn (we recommend Patons Décor or a yarn with synthetic content)
• A darning needle and a split-lock stitch marker
