With this introductory class, students will get a firm handle on the basics: knit stitch, purl stitch, casting on (cable cast-on and/or long tail cast-on) and binding off. You will also learn techniques for increasing (make one), decreasing (knit 2 together), and seaming (mattress stitch). Moreover, students will become familiar with how to read a basic knitting pattern and how to identify and fix common mistakes. Your first project will be a set of handwarmers using yarn supplied by the Shop.
Next class in September!
